Austria's freestyle skiers showed strong performances at the World Cup in Tignes, France. In the Big Air discipline, Matej Svancer secured second place for the men with 173.75 points. He was only beaten by the American Troy Podmilsak. For the women, Lara Wolf reached third place with 143.50 points, marking the third time in her career she has stood on a World Cup podium. The victory in this competition went to the Swiss athlete Mathilde Gremaud.
There were also successes for the Swiss team in the Snowboard World Cup. Gian Casanova finished second in the Parallel Giant Slalom in Blue Mountain, Canada. He was defeated in the final by the Austrian Benjamin Karl, who celebrated his 23rd World Cup victory. As the best Swiss woman, Ladina Jenny achieved fifth place, while the Austrian Sabine Schöffmann took third place.
In the Biathlon World Cup in Canmore, Canada, there were no major surprises for the Swiss delegation.
