The leaders of the EU countries meet in Brussels. They talk about a big loan for Ukraine. It is about 50 billion Euro. Ukraine needs this money for the war against Russia.
Viktor Orb ping is the leader of Hungary. He says no to this money. He blocks the decision now. Orb ping says: No oil, no money. He means the Drushba pipeline.
Oil flows from Russia to Hungary through this pipe. The pipe goes through Ukraine. No oil has arrived there since January. Ukraine says: The pipe is broken. Russia shot it with missiles.
Orb ping does not believe that. He thinks Ukraine stops the oil on purpose. He wants the oil first. Then he will agree to the loan. The other EU countries put pressure on Orb ping.
Anton Hofreiter is a German politician. He asks for a solution without Hungary. The EU could give the money in another way. Then Hungary cannot block anymore.
The war in Iran also causes worry. Because of this war, there are no peace talks for Ukraine. The USA and Russia do not talk right now. Everyone only looks at Iran.
