The EU Parliament passed new rules. Fake porn pictures made by computers are soon forbidden. These pictures are called Deep-fakes. They hurt people's honor. Nobody can make these pictures without permission.
The EU also checks the app Snap-chat. Children are often not safe enough there. They see ads for drugs or alcohol. Adults might also contact children secretly there. This is called Cyber-grooming. The EU wants to stop this.
4 big porn sites also have trouble. They do not check user age well enough. So children might see the films. If the sites do not change, they must pay big fines. The fine money can be very high.
There is also news for private messages. The Parliament rejects general Chat-control. Private messages must stay private. Police can only read messages with real suspicion. Protecting privacy is important to the members.
