Finland is the happiest country on Earth. The new World Happiness Report says this. Finland wins this title for the 7th time in a row. Denmark is in 2nd place. Iceland follows in 3rd place. Sweden and Israel are also among the top 5 places.
Germany lost places. Earlier, Germany was in 16th place. Now, Germany is only in 24th place. So Germany is no longer among the 20 happiest countries. Researchers asked many people for the report. They ask about help from friends. They ask about money and about freedom.
In Germany, young people especially are less happy. People over 60 years old are often more satisfied. The USA also lost places. It is now in 23rd place. The unhappiest country in the world is Afghanistan. People there have the worst situation.
