Gregor Deschwanden made history. The 35-year-old Swiss won in Oslo. This is his first win in the World Cup. He is now the oldest jumper with a first win.
The weather was very hard in Holmenkollen. There was much wind and fog. Many known jumpers had problems because of this. The overall World Cup winner Domen Prevc went out early. German Philipp Raimund also did not make it to the final.
Maximilian Ortner from Austria was first ahead. He led after the first jump. In the second round Deschwanden flew further. He landed at 130.5 meters. In the end he had a lead of 1.4 points over Ortner.
The Japanese Naoki Nakamura took 3rd place. Other Swiss athletes showed good results too. Felix Trunz became fifteenth. Simon Ammann and Juri Kesseli also earned points. On Sunday another jumping event takes place in Oslo.
