Houses and apartments in Germany cost more money again. The Federal Statistical Office says this. Prices rose during the whole year 2025. The rise was 3.2 percent on average.
This is important news. In the years before, houses became cheaper. In 2023, prices fell strongly. Houses also cost less in 2024 than before. Now there is a change in trend.
Prices rose a lot in the last part of 2025. Buyers paid 3 percent more than at the end of 2024. Prices rose in all parts of Germany. Prices for apartments rose the most in the country side.
It also became more expensive in big cities. Examples are Berlin or Munich. Prices there rose by 2.1 percent. Experts expect more increases. Prices should keep going up in the next years.
