The company Isar Aerospace builds rockets. It comes from Ottobrunn near Munich. There was a plan on Wednesday evening. A rocket should launch from Norway.
The rocket is called Spectrum. It should be its second test flight. But the launch was canceled. This happened just before liftoff. The count-down was already at zero.
There was a problem with safety. A boat was in the restricted zone on the sea. Shortly after, the system stopped the launch. The company does not yet know exactly why the launch failed.
The first test in the year 2025 was already difficult. Back then, the rocket flew only for 30 seconds. Then it crashed into the sea. Every beginning in space is hard.
Isar Aerospace wants to bring small satellites into space. Many customers are already waiting for the rockets. The military is also interested. The company wants to try another launch soon.
