Anja Wicker won a silver medal. She was very fast in long-distance skiing. The race was 10 kilometers long. She started in the class for sled cross-country skiing. Wicker has already won three other medals at these Games. Now she has 4 medals in total.
The athlete from Germany was better than Oksana Masters. Masters is a well-known star from the USA. Wicker is very happy about her success. Other countries also celebrate success. Italy is happy about medals from Giuseppe Romele and Giacomo Bertagnolli.
But there is also conflict at the Games. The Ukraine is angry. The reason is the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus. These athletes can start under a neutral flag. Therefore, the Ukraine does not want to take part in the closing ceremony. The mood at the end of the Games is therefore subdued.
