The ship has 99,000 tons of oil on board. The German Customs wants to keep the ship. It says: The ship belongs to the Russian shadow fleet. These ships want to sell oil secretly. They avoid rules against the war this way.
A court stopped keeping the ship. The judges say: The ship was an emergency situation. Now the fight goes on in court. The state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern wants the ship gone fast. Soon many tourists come to the island Rügen.
A second ship causes worries in the Mediterranean Sea. It is called Arctic Metagaz. The ship is badly damaged. Maybe there was an attack with a drone. The tanker drifts without people on board in the sea.
Many countries fear an environment disaster. If the ship sinks, much oil flows into the water. The ship drifts near Libya now. Italy and France ask the EU for help. The situation stays very dangerous.
