Experts want fast help from politicians. The job of a nurse must become better. We need better work rules. We need more money. Many nurses retire soon. By the year 2033, we need thousands of new workers. If nothing changes, the situation is bad. The quality of care might become worse.
The situation is hard for family members who provide care. In Graz, there is a project with money for family members. But the money is not enough. In Burgenland, many people come from other countries to help. Experts say: Saving money on care is wrong. Poor quality today costs more money later.
