There is a ceasefire in Lebanon. A ceasefire is a break in war. No one fights for some time. The peace mostly holds. But there are new attacks. An Israeli drone hit a car. A drone is a plane without a pilot. 2 people died. Israeli soldiers also shot at cars of citizens.
Representatives from Israel and Lebanon talk to each other. The meeting happens in Washington in the USA. They want to make peace. The USA has a plan. Israel shall give back occupied land. The army of Lebanon shall watch that land. Soldiers from Lebanon get help from the USA.
The EU wants to help Lebanon too. The EU is a group of 27 countries in Europe. It suggests a mission for 3 years. Experts shall train the security forces in Lebanon. They shall learn how to protect the borders. All 27 countries of the EU must agree. But the defense minister of Israel says: The soldiers from Israel stay in the south of Lebanon for now.
