Earthquakes in Venezuela: Help after the disaster

In Venezuela there are 2 big earthquakes. The earth shakes very hard on Wednesday evening. Many houses fall down. More than 1,450 people die. Experts think: Maybe 10,000 people die. Over 3,100 people are hurt. Many thousand people are missing. Helpers search day and night in the ruins. They come from 24 different countries. Dogs help to find the people. The time for rescue is very short. After 72 hours the chance for life sinks. On Sunday there is good news. Helpers save a 60 year old woman. She is 86 hours under the ruins. A father and his son are also found alive. The people are very sad and angry. They think: The government is not fast enough. In Venezuela there are big problems for a long time. The economy is very weak. There is no water. There is no power. There are no drugs. Many people have no home. They sleep outside or in simple shelters. Other countries send money and help.
