It is very hot in Europe right now. Germany sees records over 41 degrees. The heat wave moves to the East now. In Hungary and Romania temperatures rise to 40 degrees.
The heat is very dangerous for health. More than 1.300 people died in Europe. Older people and small children are at risk. In France two small children died from lack of water.
Many cities give out heat warnings. Experts say: We need better protection. This includes air conditioners and more trees in cities. Many houses are not built for this heat.
A reason for the heat is climate change. Burning coal and oil makes the earth warmer. In Italy the heat caused bad weather. There was much rain and mud slides.
