Another shark attack happened at the Galapagos Islands. A 30 year old woman from Linz was hurt. Her name is Elisabeth O. She wanted to look at sea lions. She did this while she was swimming with a mask. This is called snorkeling. Suddenly a shark bit her leg. Two doctors were in her group. They helped her very fast. In the hospital the doctors removed her lower leg. The woman is now on her way home. She is very thankful and brave.
Scientists study these shark attacks. The water in the sea is getting warm. This might be a reason. Sharks swim to places with many people. But these attacks are very rare.
