There was much dispute about him. Pirlo has a contract with a firm from Russia. This firm offers bets. Many people criticized that. Russia fights a war against Ukraine for years.
Pirlo says: The contract is pure business. He has no political opinion with it. He always followed all laws. He is sad about the dispute in public.
Maybe other important persons leave now. Paolo Maldini is a Technical-Director at the association. He wanted to work with Pirlo. Without Pirlo he wants to end his work maybe too.
Now Italy looks for a new coach. Names like Roberto Mancini or Antonio Conte fall often. Also other coaches are in talk. The decision is still completely open.
