The south of Germany gets very hot. Up to 42 degrees are possible there. Austria also gets very warm. Temperatures rise to 38 degrees there. The east of Austria has the most heat.
The experts warn about the great heat. People must drink a lot of water. Do not go in the sun at noon. Open windows only late at night or early in the morning. Protect children and older people very well.
The heat brings danger for forest fires. A big forest part burns in Hessen. Heavy storms can also come on the weekend. These can bring fast floods and lightning.
