The British company BP sells its business in Austria. The Swiss company Volenergy buys all 250 gas stations. The charging stations for electric cars belong to the deal. Both companies do not name the price.
For the customers, almost nothing changes. The name BP stays at the gas stations. The fuel cards are still valid. BP wants to save money and get smaller. The company already sold gas stations in Turkey and Switzerland.
The authorities must agree to the sale. This takes probably until the end of 2026. Then Volenergy takes over 60 workers from BP. Volenergy runs over 730 gas stations in Switzerland.
