Not all people want to celebrate. The native people of the tribe Shinnecock do not celebrate. They live there for 13,000 years. White people took their land. They say the white people are not legal there.
Other native people remember their history too. They lived there before the USA started. The holiday has a sad meaning for them. The USA shows its many faces on this day.
