The fines hit online shops from Asia. These are firms like Shein and Temu. These firms sell many new clothes. The clothes are cheap like a repair. Shops like H&M are safe. They give work to many people in France. The fines go up until the year 2030.
France wants to save the nature. Each year people throw away 600.000 tons of cloth. Many clothes are still good. But people do not like them. A new law bans ads for cheap fashion. Firms must tell clients to do a repair. The money from fines helps good firms.
