The cause for the flood was an ice fall. Ice and stones fell down. Experts think that global warming plays a role. Warm weather melts the ice fast.
Now people fear a second flood. Mud and stones block the water in a river. A new lake is there now. If the mud breaks, more water comes.
In China rescue teams must stop the work. It is too dangerous for the helpers. They move back. Rain makes the search for survivors hard.
Soldiers and helicopters help with the rescue. They bring many people to safety. 100 workers were trapped in a tunnel. The army tries to free them.
