Brazil also gives a fine. Byte-Dance pays about 25,5 million euro there. The authority says: TikTok protects kids not enough. The app collects data from 8 million kids. This happens without login in the app.
TikTok must change rules now. Users must tell their birth date in the USA. TikTok must delete wrong data in Brazil. Parental control gets better too. Other firms like Google or Meta had similar fines before.
