Yayoi Kusama dies on August 14. She is 97 years old. The artist dies in a hospital in Tokio. Kusama is the most famous artist from Japan. Her special sign is colorful dots. These dots are Polka-Dots.
Kusama has a hard childhood. Her mother is very strict. As a child she has Halluzinationen. She sees dots everywhere. She uses these images in her art. She makes rooms with mirrors and light. These rooms are Infinity Mirror Rooms.
In 1957 she goes to New York. There she becomes famous. She goes back to Japan later. She lives in a clinic for the soul there. She paints until she dies. Her art brings her much success.
