In Belgrade people made a party on Saturday. The party was for Ratko Mladić. He was the head of an army before. Mladić died on 27 August at the age of 84 years. He died in a hospital in The Hague.
About 300 people came to the party. Important politicians were there too. For example the Minister of Justice from Serbia. The President of Republika Srpska was there too. On Monday is the funeral. Mladić gets military honors. Thousands of people come to the funeral.
Mladić was a criminal in a war. He did a massacre in Srebrenica. In the year 1995 his soldiers killed 8.000 people. These were men and boys. A court gives him prison for all his life. He killed many people of a group.
The EU does not like the party for Mladić. A woman from the EU cancels her visit to Serbia. Serbia wants to join the EU. The EU says no to praise for bad soldiers.
