Austria builds more day care places. A new study shows this. There are more day care houses now. More staff works there too. The number of children grows by 8 percent. Tirol builds the most new places.
The quality stays almost the same. The groups are still very big. The open times are also almost the same. Day care houses are open for 9 hours. Wien has the longest open times. They are open for over 12 hours.
The new places cost much money. The state pays 2,6 billion euro in 2023. This is 60 percent more than in 2017. Claudia Bauer wants more free choice for parents. The states shall use more money from the country. The care shall get better.
