There are 2 rules for the price limit. First, the market price must stay high for 3 months. Second, the normal price for customers must be over 16.5 cents. The office E-Control checks this every month. Power is cheap right now. The limit starts in the year 2027.
The industry also gets help from the government. Over 500 firms get money. This costs 250 million euros each year. Firms must keep their jobs. They can fire only few workers. The firms must also invest money in nature. The money comes from profits of the power firms.
