Haakon promises to rule Norway by the laws. He repeats his slogan: All for Norway. His father Harald V dies on Friday. Haakon becomes the new king right after.
His wife Mette-Marit is not there. She has an operation on the lung in summer. Now she has health problems. Doctors must watch her in the hospital.
The daughter Ingrid Alexandra goes with her father. She is the new crown princess now. She also must sign an oath. Many people watch the new king at the street.
The dead king Harald V lies in a chapel. People can say goodbye there. The big funeral is on 9 September. Guests from Denmark also come to Oslo for this.
