Prices rise in September
Prices in Austria rise faster. In September, inflation is 3.6 percent. In August, it is 3.2 percent. Oil and gas cost more money. Without oil and gas, inflation is lower. It is then only 2.4 percent.
Energy gets more expensive
Heating oil costs over 60 percent more than last year. Diesel and petrol are also much more expensive. Experts expect higher costs for gas in winter. Many people pay more for money soon. This happens because cheap offers end soon.
Other costs in view
Services cost more money too. This affects visits to a restaurant. Rents for flats rise too. But there is good news. Food is only a little more expensive. Butter is much cheaper than last year.
