Many people use Fern-Wärme in Österreich. A third of all homes use it for heating. The office for fair trade checks the market. The office writes a long report. Customers cannot change the company. There is a Monopol. Only one company sells the heat.
Prices go up a lot. Gas is very expensive now. Gas makes the heat. The office finds no bad crimes with prices. But the bills are too hard to read. People do not understand the costs. Contracts are not clear.
The office wants 14 changes. There must be a Schlichtungs-Stelle. This office helps people with fights. People can choose how to heat their homes. The law must become simple.
Wien gets bad news too. Wien wants no gas by 2040. A list shows good plans. But Wien uses too much gas now. The change must be fast. Clean heat helps nature.
The office wants more trade. Companies must check the meters. Prices can go down then. Transparenz is the main goal.
