The government makes a new law. It is called the Building Law. People can keep using gas and oil heaters. The rule for green energy is gone. People now have more freedom.
New rules start in the year 2029. Heaters must use bio fuels. This part will grow until the year 2040. It will then be 60 percent. People call this the bio stairs.
Critics do not like the law. They fear for the climate. But the government says: Germany becomes klima-neutral by 2045.
The law protects renters. Landlords must pay for the CO2-Preis from 2028. They also share costs for the gas grid.
Renters and landlords share more costs from 2029. These are extra costs for bio fuels. Rents stay fair for the people.
The government saves people a lot of money. It saves 5,1 billion Euro every year. Companies also pay less money. The Bundestag must check the law.
