Students in Berlin and Brandenburg protested on this day. They did not go to school. They protested against the Wehr-Pflicht. Wehr-Pflicht means: Young people must serve as soldiers. The students want more money for schools. They want less money for war. The police counted 1.200 students in Berlin.
Austria had a meeting for the memory too. The government celebrated in the Bundes-Kanzler-Amt. This is the office of the leader. Christian Stocker is the leader.
