Climate change harms the health of children. UNICEF says this in a new report. Nearly half of all children face 3 dangers. These are about 1.1 billion children.
Heat waves and droughts are these dangers. Storms and floods also hurt children. Children suffer more from heat than adults. Their body gets hot very fast. They also breathe in dirty air.
Countries in Africa and Asia suffer much. The danger is very high in Nigeria and Pakistan. But children in Germany feel the crisis too. Almost every child feels climate changes here.
In Papua-Neuginea children swim across rivers. This is dangerous because of crocodiles. Rain destroyed the bridges. UNICEF now wants more protection for all children.
