The government makes new rules for the army service. The service takes 6 months. Now 3 months for practice come extra. These practice times are in the army. Soldiers get more money now. They get 1.000 euro every month. This makes the army better.
The social service gets new rules too. It takes 9 months like before. Men can work 2 months longer. This helps helper groups. From the year 2028 there is a special rule. If too few men join the army, the social service takes 11 months for all.
The politicians talked long about the change. Minister Klaudia Tanner likes the new rules. The rules start in January 2027. The parliament must say yes. Many experts like the plan. The change makes Austria safe in bad times.
