Change at the top of Hungary
The Hungarian president Tamas Sulyok leaves his job. He signs new laws on Saturday. These laws end his time in office. His job is empty from Monday. Sulyok says the rule is unfair. He has no other choice.
The new government wants this change. Peter Magyar leads the government. Magyar says Sulyok is a puppet of Viktor Orban. Orban was the boss of the government before. The new party Tisza has much power now. They want to change the country.
The new rules change much in Hungary. Judges must stop work at age 70. Members of parliament can only work 12 years. This rule hits Viktor Orban too. He cannot run for office in 2030. Agnes Forsthoffer takes the job for now.
