In summer the politicians in Vienna have less work. The parliament takes a break. Many party leaders travel through Austria. They show: We listen to the people. Chancellor Christian Stocker visits every state. Andreas Babler from the party SPÖ travels too. He wants to bring people together. He visits pubs and clubs to talk.
Other parties travel as well. Herbert Kickl from the party FPÖ held a big party in Vienna. Leonore Gewessler from the Green party visits people at home. These people are 40 years old this year. The Neos have no big trip. Their politicians visit local festivals. All want to get votes for the next election.
Andreas Babler has new plans for homes. He wants easier rules for air cooling. Currently this is often very hard. You need permission from all neighbors. This shall change soon. Babler says: Air cooling is not a luxury. It is often very hot in summer. Window blinds and sun protection shall be easier too. The ministry for laws helps with this.
