The river Rhine has very little water. This is low water. Ships can only carry few goods. This is bad for business. Minister Steffen Bilger makes a crisis meeting. He talks with experts about solutions.
One idea is no driving ban for trucks. Trucks can normally not drive on Sunday. They maybe can drive now because of the emergency. Important goods reach the goal by road. The train shall also carry more goods. This is hard work. There are many building sites at the tracks.
The cause for low water is missing rain. The big heat is also a problem. Much water goes into the air. Minister Bilger says: The climate change is at fault. We must get used to such problems. He wants to build the rivers better for the future. He promises: Nature stays safe.
