The Deutsche Bahn has new numbers. Many long trains fail in the first half year. This affects 8 percent of the trains. This is almost every twelfth train. The trains fail completely. Or they drive only a short part.
These are more failures than in the last year. Only in the year 2024 there were more failures. Back then there were strikes. The new numbers come from the traffic ministry. The party The Greens asked for them.
Also the punctuality is bad. Only about 59 percent of the long trains are on time. This means: Almost every second train has delay. Matthias Gastel from The Greens criticizes this. He wants better repairs at the trains.
