Police officers from 4 states work now in Vienna. They come from Lower Austria and Upper Austria. Also from Styria and Burgenland come officers. Every day 24 people travel to the city. They work there from Monday to Saturday. The ministry decided this. The officers help the group against youth crime. The ministry says: Such actions are normal. They happen often at big feasts or sport games.
Workers' representatives find the situation hard. In Vienna are 650 jobs at the police free. There are too few workers. The help from the states shows this problem. Also in Vorarlberg are too few police officers. Therefore Styria sends officers to Vorarlberg. They help fast reaction forces there. The ministry searches for volunteers. For many officers the work in another city is a nice change.
