The USA cancel a big military exercise. The exercise was planned next month in South Korea. The name of the exercise is Ssangyong. Soldiers wanted to train with water vehicles.
Washington says: There are too few soldiers. Many soldiers fight in the war in Iran. Therefore the USA have no free forces. South Korea got the news already in June. Both countries talk now about new dates.
President Donald Trump shortened already another exercise. He says: The exercises cost too much money. He finds the exercises also unfriendly toward North Korea. South Korea wants no part in the war in Iran. Trump does not like that.
Maybe Trump wants a meeting with Kim Jong Un. Kim Jong Un is the chief of North Korea. North Korea likes the exercises not at all. Last week North Korea tested 10 missiles.
