At night on Saturday there were problems at the airport in Luxemburg. People saw drones in the sky. These are small flying machines without pilots. The government closed the airport because of this.
This was a safety rule. No planes could start or land. In total 19 flights flew to other cities. Cities like Brussels, Paris or Frankfurt had changes.
Over 1.800 passengers had to wait. Experts checked the safety at the airport. They found no more danger. At 1.20 hours at night the work started again.
Prime-Minister Luc Frieden talked with other ministers. A special group checks the event now. They also work with partners from other countries. Nobody knows where the drones came from.
Other countries had similar events too. For example Great Britain or Germany. Experts have fear of attacks from Russia. The government in Luxemburg watches very closely now.
