The summer in Austria is very hot. There is too little rain. This hurts the farms very much. The harvest in autumn is bad.
Potatoes have a bad time. Over half of the normal amount is missing. Corn and soy also have big losses. There is almost 30 percent less corn.
The Land-Wirtschafts-Kammer calls the situation bad. The farmers need help from the state. The government promises a money pack. This helps the farmers to live.
Wine and apples also have less harvest. Grain looks a bit better. The loss here is not so big.
There must be more money. The farms must fit the climate. Only this protects harvests in the future.
