Minister Claudia Bauer wants a new law. The law has the name Integrations-Pflichten-Gesetz. The law starts on 1. January. The plan must be ready until October. The law makes rules strict. Much was voluntary before. But 13000 people stopped their courses. This changes now.
A reason for the law are the women. Many moved women have no work. Only 59 percent of them work. It is less for women from Syria or Afghanistan. Bauer wants that these women learn German. They become independent this way. This helps their children too.
2500000 people with a Migrations-Hintergrund live in Austria. This is almost every third person. The biggest group comes from Germany. People from Romania and Syria follow after. Many moved people visited good schools. But many have only a basic school finish. The middle part in education is often missing.
People from Muslim lands often experience Diskriminierung. More than half of the Afghans feel treated bad. Still, migrants see the living together positive. This is true when people have much contact. Daily contact helps for a good living together.
