Austria has a rule for learning since 2016. All young people must learn until 18 years. They can go to school. Or they learn a job in a firm. Courses for tests count too.
Korinna Schumann talks about the work now. She says: 36000 young people need help. These young people do not follow the rule first. Experts help them on their way. This works for 86 percent of them.
Many helpers aid the young people. Jugend-Coaching or AMS help a lot. They look for contact after 3 months without work. The goal is always help. No one wants to blame anyone.
Parents pay money if they do not help. This costs between 100 and 1000 Euro. Christoph Wiederkehr talks about new talks. These are Perspektiven-Gesprächen. They take place when someone wants to stop school.
