There is a new rule since 1 April. Gas stations can raise prices only one time each day. This must be at 12 o'clock at noon. But they can lower prices at all times.
The ADAC says now: The rule is bad. The prices do not go down because of it. People who buy gas after 12 o'clock often pay much more money. The price differences on one day are bigger now than before.
Experts from research places also criticize the rule. They say: The prices in the afternoon stay too high now. Before, people had more chances to buy cheap gas. The ADAC demands the end of this rule.
The ADAC praises other plans. The government wants to lower the energy tax. This helps car drivers directly. A price cap for gas could also help against very high prices.
