The power company Verbund raises its prices. This only affects new customers. People with an old contract pay the same. The Austria plan now costs 10 cents per kilowatt hour. Before it was 9,50 cents. This applies to the first year.
From the second year it gets more expensive. Then the power costs 15 cents per kilowatt hour. The monthly base price is 4,20 euro without tax. The pure power price is only one part of the bill. It makes up about one third of the costs.
The other two thirds are taxes and grid costs. These depend on the place you live. Verbund names hard market conditions as the reason. The prices at the stock market rise again. Also wars abroad influence the costs for energy.
