Politicians from the EU meet in Luxemburg. They decide a new law. People without a permit must leave the EU fast. There shall be special houses for this. The houses are outside of the EU. They have the name return hubs. Uganda or Kasachstan are possible countries. Experts for human rights worry about the plans.
Italy plans more returns too. The government wants to send 10000 people back until the end of 2026. Italy builds 6 new centers for this. The centers have the name CPR. 2 centers are in Süd-Tirol. Other centers are in Kalabrien or in Toscana. Italy already sends 6500 people back before.
People argue about the plans. Some regions in Italy do not want the centers. Toscana shows resistance. 22000 migrants come over the sea this year. This is less than in the year before. Most people come from Bangladesch or Algerien. Germany and Österreich work on the new rules too.
