Mothers do much work at home. They clean and cook. They care for the children. This work is Care-Arbeit. That means work for others. Women get no money for this work. Many women work less in their job. They often work in Teil-Zeit. This is bad for money in old age. They get less money later.
Some mothers feel bad. They feel guilt. They ask: Am I a good mother? Some people use the word mother as a bad word. Experts say: All parents care for children well. There is no Mutter-Instinkt. Fathers can learn all this too. In Suedtirol and Oesterreich groups want more help. There must be more places in kindergarten. Fathers must help more with children.
