The channel ORF III shows many films. These films are documentaries. A newspaper reports on the money for them. Companies often pay for these films. The railway company paid for one film. It is about 100 years of the railway. The film cost 50,000 euros. ORF paid only 1,500 euros. That is very little money for a film.
The chamber of commerce also paid for films. These films show good work by companies in Austria. ORF showed these films. But ORF did not name the payers. Some people do not like this. They think: ORF must be neutral. It must not make ads for companies.
There are more examples of such films. An association paid for a film about the Danube Island Festival. Others paid for a film about a politician. ORF says: We follow all laws. We only bought the films. The editorial team checked everything. There were problems in the past. ORF made new rules after that.
