The GFF is a group for human rights. They wrote a long report. 8 experts worked on it for 13 months. They read many texts from the AfD party. These texts are from the internet and from plans for elections.
The report says: The AfD is against our law. It hurts the democracy in Germany. It does not respect the human dignity. This means: All people must get respect. The AfD treats some people very badly. This applies to people from other countries. It also applies to Muslims and trans people.
Many people in the AfD follow radical ideas. There is little protest inside the party. Famous people like Alice Weidel speak in extreme ways. The GFF says: A court will likely ban the party.
Politicians from the Greens want to act now. Britta Haßelmann and Katharina Dröge wrote a letter. They want to talk to other parties. Some people from the SPD and the Left party agree.
A party ban is very difficult in Germany. Only the parliament or the government can ask for it. Then the highest court decides. Many politicians have different opinions. Some prefer to win the argument with better politics.
