The government of Austria makes a new plan. It keeps the gas store for longer. It keeps the gas until the year 2029. This costs about 240 million Euro.
The government needs many votes for this plan. It needs a two-thirds majority in the parliament. Economic minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer asks other parties for help. He says: Energy for heat is very important. This helps all people in the country.
The energy situation is good right now. The gas stores are full. They are 54 percent full. There is also enough diesel and kerosene. Kerosene is the fuel for planes.
War in other countries caused worry. For example the war in the Iran. But factories in Europe work well. They make a lot of fuel now. Austria expects no lack of fuel.
