Russia attacked Ukraine on Monday night. Russia used many rockets and drones. The city Kiev suffered very much. At least 10 people died there. Many people are hurt. Among the hurt people are 5 children.
The attacks damaged many houses. Part of a house fell down. Rescue teams search for people in the ruins. Thousands of people fled to the subway. They stayed there to be safe from bombs.
President Zelenskyy warned of the attacks. He says: Putin wants to cause fear. Soon there is a meeting of the NATO. The NATO is a group of countries for defense. This meeting is in Turkey. Zelenskyy asks other countries for help. Ukraine needs new rockets for the air defense. Only then can the country protect the people.
